The Quiet Knowing We Forget to Trust

The Quiet Knowing We Forget to Trust

There is a voice within each of us that speaks softly.

It does not demand attention. It does not argue. It does not raise itself above the noise of the world. Instead, it waits, patient, steady, and unchanged, for the moment we are still enough to hear it.

Unfortunately, many of us learn, over time, to ignore it.

We are taught to seek certainty outside ourselves. To ask for permission. To look to logic, to reason, to proof. And while these things have their place, there is another form of knowing that lives beneath them. One that does not arrive as words, but as feeling.

It is the pause before a decision. The pull toward something you cannot yet explain. The sense that a certain path is yours to follow, even when it makes little sense to anyone else but you.

This knowing does not always lead us to where we expect to go. In truth, it rarely does. It leads us to where we need to grow.

Sometimes it leads us away from what is familiar. Sometimes it asks us to begin again. Sometimes it asks only that we trust, without understanding why.

There have been moments in my own life when this quiet voice was the only thing left. When everything else felt uncertain, it remained. Not loud. Not forceful. Simply present.

It was not always easy to trust. Doubt has a way of creeping in, especially in a world that values certainty above all else. And I will admit that it was having those doubts that took me so long to get here.  But time has shown me that this knowing does not exist to mislead. It exists to guide, gently, persistently, and always toward something truer. And it keeps going, even though you choose to ignore it. It keeps going until you recognise it for what it is.

The WyldeWoode itself began as such a feeling.

Not as a plan, but as a quiet certainty that something meaningful was waiting just beyond the edges of what I could see. It did not reveal itself all at once. It unfolded slowly, step by step, as all true things do.

This knowing lives in all of us.

It lives in the moments when you feel drawn to something without knowing why. In the things that stir your heart without explanation. In the paths that call to you, even when they seem to appear from nowhere.

It asks only one thing in return. That you listen…

And perhaps, in listening, you may begin to remember that you have always known the way.

Walk gently,

Claire.
